Yup cheesecake again. And to be honest I really feel like I could still make 100 different flavoured recipes using this as a base. Just love how easy and convenient it is when you want to have some baked cheesecake which can be done in just 20 minutes. For this recipe, I decided to use a mixture of Elderflower syrup and rose tea I got from Max Havelaar to promote fair prices for farmers in other countries. Always nice to help build a sustainable future for everyone, one of the reasons I try to buy most of my groceries from local stores. Happy Waffle Wednesday guys.
Elderflower Rose Tea Cheesecake Waffles
400g cream cheese
5 tbsp. elderflower syrup
1/2 tbsp. Rose Tea
1 tbsp. ground coffee
2 tbsp. crumbled shortbread
In a bowl mix together the cream cheese, sugar, eggs, elderflower syrup, and rose tea. Sieve the flour on top and keep mixing until you get a firm dough.
Heat up your waffle iron and bake a generous tablespoon of batter for one waffle. Keep watch since the waffles shouldn’t be overcooked. Right when they start to brown a little get them out to let them cool. Keep the waffles in the fridge for about 15 minutes to let them cool down before serving. Serve the waffles with a mixture of crumbled shortbread and ground coffee and enjoy.
