Yup, you read that right cookie dough! My mom used to make cake and me and my brother would use to fight over who would get the leftovers of the dough. Sometimes I just feel like making cake or cookie dough just for the dough. Monday was also one of those days but I decided to add my cookie dough into a waffle and the result was ááámazing! Rarely had a waffle this good. To finish the waffles of I ran to the supermarket to get some Ben&Jerry’s Cookie Dough because the waffles wouldn’t be complete without those. I hope you guys like this recipe as much as I did.
Cookie Dough waffles
For 6 waffles
35g casted sugar
35g brown sugar
60g butter (at room temperature)
20g chocolate (chopped in small pieces)
pinch of salt
90g low fat quark
1 tsp. baking soda
1. tbsp. oil
pinch of salt
For the cookie dough you can just add all the ingredients, except the chocolate together with a fork until it is evenly mixed. As a final step add in the chocolate pieces and stir till combined.
Make the waffle batter by mixing the quark, egg and oil together. Add the flower, baking soda and salt and mix until combined.
Now grab your cookie dough and add in small pieces to the waffle batter. Make sure you’ve got chocolate in the small chunks you pick up. Gentle stir it through the waffle batter. You don’t have to use up all the cookie dough, I’ve eaten a good few chunks before it could get in the waffle batter.
When everything is combined heat up your waffle iron and bak about a generous tablespoon of the batter. When done I love to serve them with a canneli of Ben&Jerry’s Cookie Dough on top. Enjoy.
