Today is hold-your-waffle-Wednesday. And this time we have a recipe with out favorite chocolate bar the salted caramel version of Tonychocolonely. At our home we eat at least one each week so it sounded like a good idea to add this into a waffle recipe. And I can tell you this one worked out really great! A firm waffle with a taste bud explosion of caramel and salt is the best breakfast, lunch or whatever you can think of.
We bet that after 6 waffles you’ll grave more.
110g low-fat quark
1 tbsp. coconut oil (molten)
1/2 tsp. sea salt (we used Maldon)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. sparkling water
60g Tony’s caramel sea salt (chopped in small chunks)
Mix the quark, Nutella, egg and coconut oil in a bowl until mixed thoroughly. Add in the flower and mix through the mixture. Now make a small pit in the middle and add in the baking soda with the sparkling water. Combine again and then add the chocolate and sea salt and mix one final time. Scope a generous tablespoon of batter in a preheated waffle iron and bake the waffles until you’re out of batter. Top the waffles with some extra Nutella and sea salt and serve them. Enjoy!
